A Fall Midwest Beach Table

In the fall bring the beach indoors (and use a floor-to-ceiling view of that glorious lake as a backdrop). This setting celebrates the warmer tones found in the dunes only in the fall – celadon greens and rich taupes. Bundles of dried dunegrass anchor the table and create height, with natural stone vases and votive holders adding a soft glow. Sprinkle a collection of local shells around the place settings for a personal touch; the effect is mimicked in a charming seashell-shaped pitcher. The ceramic European dishware in hydrangea green is perfect for a relaxed alfresco brunch or lunch, with a simple, flat piece of driftwood used as a serving platter. Chicago born and raised Robert Northington who now lives in Millers Beach, Lake Country in Indiana has been a fellow boutique owner friend and partner in design for years! They met in the Chicago Showroom of Barbara Sheehan in 1995 and were quick to become designing friends.
